IPS expands its North American service center network and service capabilities with the acquisition of Evans Enterprises, Inc.

(Greenville, SC — December 20, 2022) IPS, a North American leader in single-source solutions for industrial and commercial power and mechanical processes, has acquired Evans Enterprises, Inc (Evans). The sale includes all eight Evans locations, servicing customers across the South and Central United States. For IPS, these additional locations add services to underserved markets and further enhance its industry-leading network of 64 locations.

Evans, headquartered in Norman, Oklahoma, with locations in Tulsa and Pryor, Oklahoma; Waco and Abilene, Texas; Fort Smith and Conway, Arkansas; and Springfield, Missouri, is a leading electromechanical, power management, and rotating equipment service provider. Established in 1954, Evans is a fourth-generation, family-owned company offering decades of services to customers in the industrial, renewable energy, and commercial markets. Evans was a pioneer in bringing aftermarket services to the wind power generation market in 2006, servicing the industry’s first generation of electromechanical components and generators.

“Evans Enterprises, Inc., a 4th generation, 70-year-old industry leader in electrical rotating apparatus and systems, today announces an exciting partnership with IPS, a world-class industrial solutions provider. IPS’s strong network of existing repair and engineering services, combined with Evans’ geographical presence in the southwest and beyond, offers customers the most complete single-source solutions provider in the industry,” said Evan Thrash, Evans Enterprises Inc. President.

“This new partnership with IPS allows our company the unbridled flexibility to pursue several key market growth strategies. Evans is proud to be part of IPS’s vision, innovative spirit, and bespoke solutions that build trusted advisor customer relationships. Evans will now become an integral part of IPS’s long-term strategy,” said Thrash.

“IPS has long admired Evans Enterprises and the Evans family for the solutions it provides to customers. IPS is privileged to carry on its 70-year heritage. Our combination will bring a greatly expanded offering to customers in the South-Central US for power management and electromechanical services,” said John Zuleger, IPS President & CEO.

“With this acquisition, IPS has taken another step in our vision to revolutionize reliability. IPS remains focused on becoming a trusted advisor to customers looking for a single-source supplier capable of responding, rethinking, and resolving their most challenging power management, electromechanical, and rotating equipment challenges,” said Zuleger.
